Updated work in progress

Here is a screenshot similar to the previous however this one is more advanced. I have added the letters on to the board so that the understanding of what its meant to look like is a lot clearer. The dice remains at the top and Dan will later move around the board depending on the number the user lands on.

Work in progress

I have created a dice which works... All you have to do is click on the 'Throw the dice' button and it comes up with a different value each time.
When all is working, Dan will be able to move through the different squares and the user will be able to learn.

Background

Here is the background that i am going to be using throughout my game.
I think it goes well with the audience of younger children as the colours are bright and they all like going to the park when the weather is nice so I thought it worked well.
I made the grass longer so it can fit more than a couple of boxes on and i also shortened the length of the sky and made it all the same colour.

My Character

Here is a picture of a little girl with my face on top. I thought it would work well as my title is 'Learn With Dan'.
I think it gives it a personal touch and also works well together.

Storyboard

Here is a picture of what my storyboard looks like.
I aim to keep to this storyboard as much as i can as i feel it gives a good indication to what i want it to look like. I have included the name and the logo to make it look professional and also have kept to the main pages i want to focus on.
I will have the dice at the top of the hill so it doesn't get in the way and also it is clearly visible. I will have a blue background representing the sky along with some clouds and a sun, i feel this gives it a nice warmly touch.
I will have instructions incase somebody wants to know what the educational game is about and they can then go on to play the game or go back to the home page from the instructions page.

It is easy to navigate through as i will have buttons that can take you back to the home page and also the dice roll takes them to the page they are faced with.

Storyboard Template

Here is an image of a storyboard template I have created in order to put all of my designs on paper and show people what I want my finished project to look like.

Updated Synopsis

Due to the amount of time I have to complete the project and the skills I have, I have decided to cut down on the amount of sections i have decided to include in my game.
Instead of having four sections I am going to focus only on one subject a make it unique rather than having something similar to what others have already created.

I have chosen to do the alphabet.

Alphabet - This will allow the child to listen to the way the word is pronounced and practice saying the letter they way they are being shown. On this section there will be no need for the child to answer anything on this section and therefore can move the amount of spaces shown on the dice. I will also have sections which will show the child different pictures and they can click and drag the correct letter to the picture.
I have basically brought both the alphabet and letter sections together.
